The Jackson Local Schools Interact Club is pleased to announce their first annual "Pink the Rink" fundraiser to support breast cancer awareness on Saturday January 7th 2012 when the Jackson Polar Bear Hockey Club matches up against the visiting Westlake Hockey Club at Center Ice Sports Complex (CISC) for a 4:00 PM game.

General admission tickets are available at a cost of $5.00 each and can be purchased from any of the more than 100 members of the Jackson Local Schools Interact Club. Tickets are limited to 500.

Don't know any club members? Feel free to email us by email at info@pinktherink.org and we'll hook you up with tickets.

The Jackson Local School District Interact Club is partnering with The Jackson Polar Bear Hockey Club to host a special game night called Pink the Rink. The purpose of this event is to raise money for the Northeast Ohio District Unit of the American Cancer Society in order to help support and sustain their local programs and services, as well as support life saving breast cancer research.

Eric's grandmother passed away from cancer before Eric was born so she never got to see her grandson fly up and down the ice. Eric never got to know his grandmother who would have been sooooo proud of him. She would have been one of his biggest fans.This jersey will be a wonderful tribute to Eric Jones' grandmother - Ellie MItchell

Jersey Bid Personal Story

I am a breast cancer survivor just finishing chemo and working on recovery. I would love to have a jersey from a Jackson student as the students and teachers at JHS helped me through this process (I am a teacher here). I completely support what the hockey team and Interact are doing...great idea!

My mom, Ruth fought breast cancer twice. She recently passed away on January 13th, 2 days before her 65th birthday. I am bidding on the jersey with #15 because her birthday was January 15th! We miss her a lot!!

Jackson High School Interact - Pink the Rink Kickoff

What an amazing group of Jackson High School Students. They took the idea and ran with it. When we sat down and talked about it over the summer about raising money for breast cancer awareness and incorporating it into a hockey game, they thought I was nuts. Di you know they have more than 100 members of their club and they're selling 500 tickets to the game. I proud to be a Rotarian, and I see hope for the future.
